Helping ‘25th & Lincoln’ Paint A Mural

This summer we had the opportunity to help our friends at “25th & Lincoln Mural and Design Company” to create a mural in downtown Akron. The mural, located in Lock 3 on the side of the Akron Civic Theatre, features an old canal scene from the late 1800’s. “25th & Lincoln Mural and Design Company” specializes in hand painted halftone - typically a printmaking technique used to create tones and shades.

Removing masking after spraying and back rolling Loxon masonry primer.

The mural was designed by 25th & Lincoln owner, Scot Phillips. We also had Canton artist, Erin Meyer, helping us to complete the job. The mural took just over 1 month to complete. We had so many great interactions with pedestrians while working on this project.

Scot Phillips, owner of 25th & Lincoln Mural and Design Company, tapes up the design to be traced.
